If you haven't received bio letter after 30 days of NOA1 date...

My NOA date was 11/1 but haven't received bio appointment after six weeks. So I called USCIS on 12/15 after reading some posts in this Forum and was told to wait another 30 days. But luckily I received the bio appointment today with the letter dated 12/20. So I don't know if the call initiated some actions or it just happened that they were processing the case when I called.

Best wishes to you all. I know the wheel of government is spinning but it is doing so very slowly.

My wife finally got her bio letter yesterday.

NOA1 date: Nov. 8, 10

Bio letter date: Dec. 28, 10

Bio appointment: Jan. 25, 11

50 days for the letter, and another month for the appointment.

So if you're in DC metro area (esp. northern VA), unfortunately we're in this for long.

I guess the back log for the bio in this area is really long.

But we're going to try walk-in next week.

Happy new year and good luck!

11/04/10 I-751 submitted to VSC by express mail.

11/05/10 VSC received the package.

11/08/10 NOA1 date

11/12/10 Check cashed, NOA1 hardcopy received.

12/31/10 Bio letter received. Finally!! Sechduled for 1/25/11.

01/12/11 Early Bio

03/29/11 ROC approved.

The status of this service request is:

The process for fingerprint appointment scheduling has been requested. Applicants will be mailed appointment notices when the ASC in their area has appointments available.
