Hi Guys,

I finally got my interview appointment on January 3, 2011 in Nairobi. I would appreciate if someone who is from Kenya or who had been to interview in Kenya could give me some information about lodging, transportation and communication facilities not far from the US embassy. Thanks

We stayed at the Grand Holiday Hotel across from the Hotel Accra in Nairobi. It is about 20 mins from the Embassy. The hotel is very affordable. I believe about $30 day. Lodging is fair enough. There are really good staff there and convienently located. A girl named Anne who works there was amazing in making the accomodation good. We stayed there for 2 weeks. There are nicer hotels there but considering the expenses we had, chances weren't taken to spend alot on lodging (i.e. medical costs, food, taxis, 2 airline tickets to US, etc.).

I hope this helps!

This may be not related to your question, but it may be of some help preparing for your interview, too.
