Hi All,

Just received a request for evidence letter.

It says my joint sponsor needs to prove income, it asks for:

A letter from his work, his W2's, tax return, and 6 months of pay stubs. This much I understand and will absolutely include in the return package.

My question is, should I include anything else?

The letter also says the joint sponsor has to fill out another form, and proof of citizenship, which I thought as strange. Any thoughts? Nothing was wrong with the original form or proof of citizenship.

My wife and I are currently waiting on the IRS to mail us our tax transcripts, but they didn't ask for this in the RFE.

Should we wait? or send only the joint sponsors documents ASAP? speed is of the essence of course.

Many thanks,

I would suggest not to wait and send exactly what they ask for. Nothing more, nothing less. I think they always require proof of citizenship of the sponsor. I remember putting the packet together and taking several photocopies of my husband's birth certificates to make sure I had enough for each form (just in case). I guess it's their way of checking that you're not making it up? I don't know the reason behind it, but I would do exactly as I said and do it asap. :)
