My fiancee paid the$ 350 in Tag. today at the BPI.The girl said they no nothin more than to accept the payment and give the reciept. UID WHAT??? LOL. After a few hours I call the appointment line to try to get some answers. I literally corrected everything that she told me.Example.. Sir you need to fill out the DS160 form to make appointment.... Me.. The K1 doesnt use the DS160 form. Her.. Yes sir, you do not fill out the DS160 form.Lol. Uhhh, what???? It got worse.

She told me to wait for the letter to make the appointment. Anyone able to get appointment before the embassy letter arrives and how long did it take to get the letter if you did recieve one?

Also she said that she wasnt aware of K1 visa appointments restrictions for after the 16th.

We just paid yesterday, yes, wer received two standard deposit receipts. Did not get UID.

I am coming to the conclusion from what I hear from everyone is that the call center is worthless! I have never gotten through to them.

12 hours post application fee payment and still unable to schedule. I keep getting the message "Case Type Number is invalid".

What is the Case Type Number that is required?

"number for the counter" when you go to the bank here you have to "take a number" and have a seat, I think that is what she is referring to.

I got thru multiple times but took 54 minutes of bein on hold to get an agent. Have you recieved an email that your file has arrived at the embassy yet? I got my NVC letter today dated Dec. 02 that says my file will be sent to the embassy within one week.

I am having the same issue with case number or passport number error.

I have not received any notification form USEM, NVC said packet was sent 11/30/2010, I was able to get to the call center today (8:15am Phils time) and was told the packet was not there yet. The girl who answered went to check if my packet was there before I could give her any information, I mean ANY info, name , numbers nothing. Then she comes back on and says what is your email address, then goes to check again. Anyway you get the picture. I am just banking that scheduling can not occur until the MRV fee is paid. Money up from first in the Phils you know. So I will give them a couple days to get that info from BPI to the USEM. (yeah I know some where it says 4 hours) Can't happen in the Phils..LOL, no way.

But probably I will just have to wait until the packet does arrive, or is logged in or whatever.

I just tried again and it didn't give me the passport error this time only the case file error. I'm pretty sure that indicates that my payment is tied into the system just our file hasn't arrived. I'll keep trying daily.

On the same site it does state that if you make an appointment before you recieve the letter, you may not be seen on your scheduled appointment. Prob. just trying to scare us.

The letter btw will be an email so have your girl check often, SPAM folder too. Unfortunately, my girl is in a fairly remote area of Bohol so checking is a little more difficult for her. I hope they email me also.

Case number type refers to the NVC case number...which starts with MNL

Hey, a couple of questions please. First, can I get the link to that site that states "we will not be see without a letter" I don't remember reading that before.

If the letter comes in an email, where did they get the email address, all USEM has is my I-129 package from NVC, I just looked through it again and I do not see where mine or her email address is recorded for them?

Here's the link stating that "If you schedule an appointment, and any of the above conditions apply to you, you may not be interviewed, even if you present yourself at the Embassy on the scheduled date."

Condition (G) states "You have yet to receive a notification from the Embassy or the National Visa Center regarding your eligibility for scheduling an interview."

After scheduling an interview online, the applicant can download the appointment letter. I believe the USEM emails a "receipt" after scheduling the interview.

I hope this is what you're looking for. Good luck scheduling your interview date!

You're very welcome, Richard! I keep on trying the online scheduling system. Once the physical case is in the USEM's computer system, I'm sure the scheduling will work.

Waiting for a stranger to decide our fate...that is so true!

Yeah, and who is that stranger. We think we are free, what a bizarre illusion that is. It’s like I keep telling Beth,

the only mistake the Philippines made is not sharing a common border with the USA. Not to be disrespectful of Mexicans,

but come on we see the news, seems to be much easier just to walk over from Mexico, then to get a good girl you love into the USA through legal means.

God, I am afraid that I said that. My petition might be flagged now.

Oh well, I guess I won't get a schedule date..LOL
