Delay in ASC of Alexandria,VA

I've been reading on various threads about how its taken some people more than a month from receiving their NOAs to get their biometrics letter, if your appointment would be in the Alexandria, VA area.

Does anyone know why exactly this is and at what point you should call USCIS/make an InfoPass appointment (ie. after how many days since sending in your application should you be concerned)?

In my case, its been two weeks and I'm wondering how much longer I should wait.

you send in your file, about 8 days later thay sand you a noa1 letter receipt,then about four or five weeks lateryou should get a letter asc appointment for biometrics ,say 5 weeks for the date to take your finger prints, so just relax, its coming you don't need infopass good luck

Generally you need to wait at least 30 days to make a request because 30 days is still considered a "normal" window. If you look at the USCIS website for processing times for your field office (Washington, DC in this case) you'll see they are backed up, though. We put in a service request after about 2 months and received the biometrics letter shortly after but I don't think it was related at all - many people who had filed at the same time received their letter the same day we did without having made appointments.
