Hehehe - poor Leo, hehehe. My cats actually walk very similarly when they encounter snow for the first time - one paw at a time, pick it up high, shake it off, next paw, pick it up high, shake it off - continue for all 4 paws - then repeat. It is funny.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

My dog does the same thing. Looks like he's prancing when he goes out in the snow. My wife tried to get him some booties 2 years ago, she got the really expensive ones that are normally used for sled dogs, but aparently, they also make them for tiny dogs too. He prances around until he flips them off. Our other dog, this will be her first encounter with snow, and winter this year. Thus far, she doesn't like it
