COUSHATTA -- Nine black children attending Red River Elementary School were directed last week to the back of the school bus by a white driver who designated the front seats for white children. The situation has outraged relatives of the black children who have filed a complaint with school officials.

Why do Americans refuse to analyze the underlying problem?? Is it right that no one can state any fact about the black American community because they are branded racists??

It's like someone conducting research which find that a majority of crimes committed in X state are from black Americans’.. People will brand him a racist and will attempt to play down and even throw out the truth. No it's not racist, its stating the fact..

I have only been in the US for 5 months and simply cannot believe what goes on here in the black American community. It's a f##ken disgrace. There is so much violence, so many murders, growing gang activity and the streets and communities are crime-ridden. Have Americans just gotten so used to the violence and with the slums that you simply turn a blind eye to the root cause of the problem??

What a contrast from the Black-American community to my family history considering my parents migrated to Australia from Europe with nothing and built something for themselves. They didn't trash the area and blame this and that person for their situation / circumstances. Even with $1 to their name they managed to keep their house and yard clean and always kept us kids in line, especially in terms of the law.. Once again I can’t stress enough the absolute need for more Americans to travel to developed countries, especially the black American community.

Why joke on white people 24/7, then turn around and call them racists when you get picked on or don't get their way?? Intrestingly enough people of true African origin (aka people who have actually migrated from the African continent) are generally fantastic people. It's a real shame that the decent black-Americans are held down by the large number of scum bags in their community..

All in all, that was a very poorly written story that left out a lot of details. There could be a million reasons why they were told to move to the back. It seems like every time something bad happens to an African American it's branded racism -- listen, sometimes it's just life. You can bet your fat arses that if it were a black bus driver sending white kids to the back, then you wouldn't be sitting here wasting your time reading this thread, but instead out doing something useful with yourself like getting that lawn mowed or golfing. On the other hand, it's very possible that this bus driver is a rotten piece of white trailer toenail trash that should be hung until death. But for right now, let's just sit back and read some interesting statistics.....

If anyone made racist comments to me in the past, I've normally said, "Well, there's white trash, and there's black trash." It should be about people, not what color they are....you can provide statistics and the like...but what possible reason could there be for separating these kids on that bus? Not ruling out the fact that there WAS one, just that I can't happen to think of any. Maybe if it were a few of them that were causing trouble, etc. (as the white kids could have been doing too...although I always remembered it like others have stated here..they usually get sent to the front...??) The thing I don't understand is that these were KIDS...what do the statistics have to do with them? Two of them were a bit older (possibly could have been causing a ruckus like any kids their ages), but what about the 5, 6, 10 year olds? If we keep quoting statistics, etc. etc. at these kids, they're gonna get it pounded inot their heads long enough that they're 'bad' which will go a long way toward helping them BE 'bad.' JMO though. M.

Can't help but argue that statistics like those aren't necessarily fair..... do more black males get caught, framed, can't afford good lawyers etc....

Well said MichelleandCraig....kids are kids and it still sounds stange to me. Also if say two groups were bein bad, surely splitting them up is better than keeping them in their groups....even the back of the bus isn't far from the front if there was some trouble?! So to send the black kids to the back isn't really gonna achieve anything is it? What are they going to automatically behave coz its the back>??

The race card is almost always used as a 'get out of jail free' card by certain people in the black community. The statistics are extremely intesting as they confirm my observations.

I also don't agree with trying to be PC and calling black-americans African Americans. They would be African American's if they or their immediate parents migrated from Africa. It's silly for someone to say that they are African American considering that their family line may not have stepped foot in Africa for over 300 years. They are americans period..

totally agree. Unfortunately black trash in the USA is looked up too, in the form of gang banging and endorsed by rap and hip hop. Its almost seen as a form of expression of speech in the US, rather than being weeded out..

I think the people who look up to it are those who have never lived that life as it may seem cool or those who have never been given an opportunity to see anything else or never had any decent role models in life to help guide them in the right direction. My husband for one does not think he's cool because that is where he came from...he has had a hard life, like his siblings and many of his friends and he continues to have issues and people associate him with these issues...when in reality he couldn't be further from it.

There are many other statistics, I took a class on serial killers...huge majority are white, middle class males - thats even scarier - the ones u least expect....

This is a truly awful story, what an awful woman, why on earth would she want to be a kids bus driver???! And they haven't fired her a*s????? Thats insane. I would kick up such a stomp if they did that to my children....
