Hello everyone,

I am new here, so do forgive me for my mistakes, errors, and/or any of my queries which dont make sense to any Vj member, as I have no intentions to offend anyone. My family back in Pakistan sealed my engagement to this girl, who is 12 years younger than I am and whom I have seen once in my younger brothers marriage back in Febraury. We both belong to a very conservative family, meaning WE are officially NOT allowed to see each other before our marriage. I would be visiting Pakistan in March 2011, planning to get married. I am very confused and scared too, about how should I pursue my process of opting whether to go through Fiance' or Spousal Visa? I know I want her here immidiately for sure. I have three months from today to whatever I need to do, but WHAT, WHERE and HOW to start....

So many questions, after reading all these reviews and experiences people had. For instance, Dont get married in Fiance VISA, but have to have NIKKAH (kind of a marriage decree), which in itself means I already got married etc. I really need every detail(what to do , what documents, whom to contact, what NOT to do etc) for whichever option I go for, starting from ABC... Surely, it would be too much to ask from you guys but I would thank you whatever feed back you can give, it does not matter even if you write " SORRY '. If you want any detail, from my end just let me know please. Just give me a START, where to BEGIN with?

Well, to start, getting an approved I-129F & subsequent K-1 (fiancee visa) is going to be very difficult for you, since you have not met your fiancee. USCIS requires you to meet in person, UNLESS you can prove it goes against long standing religious/cultural beliefs of your families (or it causes extreme hardship the petitioner).

Just saying it goes againt your beliefs is not enough, you would need to sufficiently prove that to the point where USCIS is satisfied with your proof.

For this reason, I would suggest the spousal visa may be easier for you, as you are flying there to marry her early next year.

Whichever way you decide to go, it will not be done by March 2011. You will be very lucky to have just the petition approved by March 2011, not to mention the actual visa. I just wanted to give you a more realistic timeline.

Get married and then file for a CR1.

It will take sometime, and then you have AP as well on top, so a year or so.
