I filed my K1 petition on August 7, 2006. Today I received the entire package back with an initial screening form saying that the I-129F form has been revised and that I need to complete the most current version of that form and resubmit my petition.

The version that I used says at the top:

OMB No. 1615-001; Expires 12/31/06

and at the bottom:

Form I-129F (Rev. 05/23/06) N

This seems to be the same form available at this site and at the USCIS website (http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-129f.htm).

Is there a more current version that is available somewhere? I'm at a loss.

Thanks,

boch

That's the current form. You are a victim of an inept screener.

Send the packet back with a cover letter (leave the screening form attached, make a copy of it) explaining that the packet was returned in error and that your form is the most recent version.

Idiots.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

I'd even go as far as pointing them to the URL on the USCIS website.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Yep. Good idea. And request that your case be expedited because of their delay.

Ok, well, that last part might not work, but this is just ridiculous.

I'l print the I-129F entry page from the USCIS website and add that to my reponse.

They sure have the ability to make us feel crazy.

And you haven't even 'officially' started yet.... just wait oh newbie.... :P

Best wishes!!

I was trying to dig the mega thread (back from when they kind of stopped processing petitions and we were finding info on IMBRA) to link back to the OMB page about the revision of the I-129f but I have no idea where that thread went...

Good thought, but prob not worth the time trying to find it. Pretty clear whose fault this was....

Being USCIS at fault, shouldn´t they expedite the proccess?

That's what I suggested, half in jest. It's up to the OP whether he wants to attempt that, or not...

This is totally unbelievable. Sorry OP, try for the expedited case. May not make any difference, but worth a try. Good luck!!!

Like I said before:

CSC = Convalescent Service Center. After a few hours of petition processing, a daily "activity" It's naptime.

Then perhaps an enema!!
