Hi, I am from Australia, I'm 21 years old. My girlfriend is a US Citizen and has applied for perminent residency here in Australia, (She's here now with me).

Naturally, she misses her family in the USA, so we want to go there to visit. We will also always want to go back and visit there while we are living in Australia (For example once every year or 18 months or something like that) as that's where all her family is.

The problem is, I have already been to the US on the Visa Waiver program twice since 2009. I am worried about showing up so many times on the Visa Waiver Program, (Both times I came though, I left well on time before the 90 days is up, so I have a track record of leaving on time). I've heard stories about denials and stuff at the border. I dont wanna fly 14 hours from Sydney just to be sent back becuase I've showed up too many times... Last time I was on the plane I spoke to a fellow Aussie who said he had a 10 year visa (I'm assuming B2) which let him in and out of the USA for regular visits to see his fiance. I am thinking this is for me.

Due to the fact that I know I'll end up wanting to travel to the USA multiple times in the future, I'm wondering, do you think the B2 visa is suitable for my needs?

Would I be likely to fulfill the needed critera for getting this visa?

Thanks!!

B2 visas do not ensure entrance into the US. Nothing ensures entrance into the US.

You may try for the B2 but your fears of being denied entry because you travel too much are still present with a B-2

Honestly, what you say is not that much. You'll want to travel with strong ties to Aus to help prove that you must return. Things like a lease/mortgage, a job with an expected return date, bills, car titles, etc. All those will help you cross the border

Good luck

There is no point in applying for a B2. As an Aussie, you may as well take advantage of the VWP. While none of these two may be ideal, there is nothing better available for your purposes.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.
