It's been 6 months, now what

I know that this immigration process can take a long time, but what do we do now.. We haven't seen any activity on updates since July 10, 2010... now we haven't heard anything and the status still shows initial review.. we both are very nervous about this since we separated for 8 months due to stupidity on both of our parts.. our whole lives now revolve around this craziness called immigration.. I mean habibi wants it to be over so he can get a better job, maybe go to school..and I encourage that... is there a number to vermont.. we want to be able to move to another state where there may be more jobs.. We thought about online colleges but they are soooooooo expensive.. beside he won't get the real feel of college life through a computer... again what is our next step.. if we call uscis what will they say or do...are they reading from a piece of paper to appease us.. we need answers.. any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.. thanks

The only things I know you can do is:

step 1. Call the USCIS hotline and start a service request.

step 2. Contact your local Senator and Congressman to check on your status.

step 3. Ninety days before your spouse's 3-years as an LPR apply for Natralization (N400) to make the USCIS adjudicate your Removal of Conditions.

I have no experience with removing conditions. but just out of curiosity i came to read this topic, i hope you can find the answer for your concerns

We called USCIS Tuesday.. spoke to an officer(maybe) .. they said everything is being processed and that I didn't need a service request... as I slept on it, that didn't seem quite right, so we called Wednesday.. the girl that answered said everything was being processed, but I insisted on speaking to her supervisor.. he said that the processing time did indeed pass and they were going to do a service request and gave a reference number.. also told us to call back in 30 days if we didn't hear anything.. I also spoke to a rep from our senator's office and they sent us some paperwork. they want us to send them information they could forward to USCIS.. we're going to see how this service request goes first.. I know some on here have gone longer than 6 months.. I've even seen 13 months on here.. that is totally too long.. I pray to God they will approve him so we can get on with our lives
