What to do with sealed X-rays from SLEC?

hi guys...my wife and kids went ahead and did their medical although we're still waiting for an interview appointment. it's a good thing that everything was clear and the validity is 6 months for all 3. my oldest son tested positive for the skin test, but SLEC said that since he tested negative on the other test, the skin test will not be a problem. and the fact that the wife was told that the validity is for 6 months, that means that they passed (if there was a problem, validity of the medical is cut to 3 months per SLEC).

now...the wife and oldest son had x-ray taken, but doctors said they could not disclose findings on it. that the doctor here in the U.S. will have to look at it. i am not sure which doctor will look at it. will it be at the customs check when they do go through their POE? or will we have to take the xrays to our primary physician? SLEC did not really elaborate. when my wife tried to get clarification, they just told her that the doctor here will be the one to unseal it.

any info on this is greatly appreciated. TIA

There are no doctors at POE. You will bring the Xrays to your US doctor once they arrive if you are worried about the comment on the Xrays.

i figured as much but i just wanted to make sure that the wife don't go handing it at POE when it's not part of the packet she needs to give to CO. i plan to take them to my primary physician when they get here and will have him review the xrays...but it's not mandatory for him to review it right?

Nope not manditory, just if you are concerned for any reasons the doc can look at the Xrays.

My doc didn't even want to see them said they would take their own if they needed to look at my lungs.

They wouldn't even take it.

I can't speak for ALL states or even others situations but.....I can tell you about our experiences.

My asawa had TB several years ago. We underwent the x-rays and sputum & culture testing which came back negative.

The USCIS forwarded all of her results to the state we live in, which sent it to our county health department.

They called us within 4 weeks of her arriving here and told her she needed to come in for some tests and x-rays (paid for by the county).

We gave them her x-rays for comparison which helped them to determine she did not need to take medication for TB.

We got an "all clear" from them.....I think in part because we had the x-rays.
