I sent mine Certified. This way I could follow up. My check was only cashed after two weeks also, so I don't think you'd have to worry. It's not going to be the last time you're going to ask yourself: "...what should I suppose to do next...??..."

The USCIS teaches you one valuable virtue: you have to be patience. I would wait a bit more and make sure your checking account doesn't bounce. :D

I sent mine in to Phoenix on 1st November 2010 via USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope. On the USPS tracking side, it showed as arrived on the 3rd November 2010. On the 8th November 2010 I receieved both an email and an SMS message stating my case had been recieved and I should be recieving my I-797 in the mail in the next 10 days, On the 9th I receieved another email and SMS message telling my case now has an RFE. This infamous RFE has in the past meant more times than not, a biometrics appointment has been made.

I know every case is different but that is my timeline for Phoenix so far on an N-400. 2 weeks without hearing anything? Can you track your envelope and see when it was delivered? I am sure a phone call would not hurt at all considering most people have heard at least something within 2 weeks.

I would contact the courier and inquire about the package. You paid express so it comes with its perks....

Mailed on the 26th and that was over 2 weeks ago ! Im guessing the header should have been 26th October 2010 lol. But by all accounts checking on timelines, Pheonix is actually pretty quick on the N400 so if 2 weeks have passed without so much as a word, I would first check with the courior to establish delivery then a quick call or email to follow up with USCIS.

Hi Utah-Bound

Thanks for your detail information .I received my track & confirm information from USP:the delivered date is 10/27/2010 11:20am.So I'm worried about that why I don't get any information from USCIS.I might be give them a call or send email..Do you know that number or email...because I have no idea which number I should call .Or should I resend the N-400 again.

By the way I'm appreciate your all guys concern.

From the USCIS website:

Call the National Customer Service Center toll-free number (1-800-375-5283) if: It has been more than 30 days and you have not received a receipt.

You could try to call the above number. Personally I would give it another week. Resending I wouldn't do. Could it be that your file wasn't complete?

Tomorrow is Veterans Day, meaning government employees have to slow down a week in advance to prepare for it, take the day off with yet another week to recover. How do I know this? Use to be a government employee for about six months, couldn't take the boredom and felt I should work for my pay.

Be patient, have to study for the test, take a long biometrics trip then another one for the interview, then another one for the oath ceremony. Then do all that stuff afterwards, US passport, SS, employer, DMV, voters registration, and maybe even have a party.
