Hi,

This is annoying but not unexpected considering the state of our immigration system. So ... we received an RFE and like good applicants, we are just going through the motions and giving them exactly what they want.

Our RFE from three weeks ago stated that the medical records were insufficient and that Petitioner did not provide sufficient proof that a medical exam was performed in home country! Yeah right!! RFE also asked for specific additional vaccinations.

Anyway, all is taken care of I believe, and we will be doing our final medical visit today. We expect to get our documentation in the sealed envelope.

With the RFE we received a BLUE piece of paper and cover letter stating what they wanted. It clearly states to send back the blue paper back the requested evidence. Noooo problem!! We can do dat!

So, aside from the blue letter and the sealed medical records, is there anything else we need to do, or should do to assure USCIS is happy? We plan to send via FedEx.

Thanks!

I think that's it! We had the exact same RFE & did just what you are doing...since the medical paperwork was sealed in it's own envelope & too big to fit in the envelope they sent us to send it back in, we just included the medical paperwork, blue sheet, and the mailing envelope they sent (just in case!) in a larger USPS envelope. Be prepared for them to tell you NOTHING for several weeks - we didn't get a touch or anything from 10/12 to 10/26, even letting us know it was received! Frustrating. But worth it in the end :)

Thanks for the heads up. I am not surprised by no touches. I didn't have one forever, until I got tired of it and called my Congressman. He is STILL in office as of Tuesday thank goodness! :-) anyway, a week after I called him and filled out a release form for his office, I received the RFE. I assume that his office, in fact, expedited things and got the RFE going. So, I do hope, once they receive our medical review, it will not sit there forever and we will soon see a green card.

Thanks for your input.

We actually got the approval notice (email/text) on the day our RFE was due back, the 26th, but on his green card it says "Resident since 10/13/10" which is the day after our RFE response was delivered. Not sure why we didn't hear anything for 2 more weeks, but it's USCIS so...what can you do?
