I just received my EAD a few days ago, and now we are waiting for the AOS interview letter to come. However, my wife and I are going to move in about 10 days to another town very far from where we live now, so I was wondering if there's a way of letting USCIS know that our interview should be at the new competent office instead of here. I'm just figuring that according to Murphy's Law, after waiting for months we would receive the interview letter to the old place right upon moving. Unfortunately, having not signed the lease or anything, I cannot submit form R-11 for the change of address, because we still live here. I wouldn't want to spend $500 in plane tickets just to come here for the interview, not mentioning that we would also have to take days off at work. Anyone has an idea how we could do?

Please follow the instructions below before filing an Online Change of Address to ensure that you follow the correct procedures.

1. U.S. Citizens

If you have moved, and you have a pending case, you can change your address online here on our website. Please note that the law does not require U.S. citizens to file a Form AR-11.

If you want to change your address online and/or file a Form AR-11 using our Online Change of Address Notification tool, you will need to have certain information available. Please have the following information available before you begin:

* Your receipt notice or other notice we sent you showing your receipt number (if you have a pending case with USCIS);

* Your new address;

* Your old address;

* If you have filed a petition for a family member, the names and biographical information for that person.

I looked this up on USCIS site hope this helps but you need to let them know by this or call them (800) 375-5283 Nat cust ser Centre

I would suggest if you know what your new address is going to be maybe you can make an infopass appointment and make the change. Or make an infopass at your new office as soon as you arrive in your new town so that the update can be made. At least at an infopass you are dealing with a human and it is more likely that the information gets properly processed.

this sounds like a good idea, thanks. I'd so much prefer talking face-to-face to a human being rather than over the phone. We are planning to move in about a week, so I guess we will make an infopass at the new office.
