AOS- Biometric Walk-In

Dear Vj's,

Yesterday, we got a letter from USCIS regarding our Biometric schedule dated Nov 20, 2010, however we wanted to do a walk in biometric if possible. I would really appreciate some positive inputs from you guys what should we do now if we wanted to do a walk in biometric..do we really need to call the office ASC - USCIS that we want to do a walk In biomteric? Or just go to the ASC Office without informing the ASC that we will take a walk in biometric.

You usually don't call, you just walk in there to see if they will allow you to do an early biometrics. My advice is either go early or around 3 pm when they are not too busy to take you in. In my experience we did an early biometrics, we arrived at 3:15 pm and in 15 mins me and my son are both done and the room is empty. Everyone in the USCIS was nice to assist us, they just look at our letter and ask to fill up the form, finger print, took pictures, signature and that's it. You try to find out how walk in works in your area if there are successful stories no harm in trying It was a good thing I did early check in coz right after my biometrics my case showed up online and my RFE notice was sent to me.

Why not just go on your scheduled date? I don't think doing it earlier will speed up the process any. Just walk on it for a walk-in.
