Can anyone go to the medical center and pay to have their medical exam taken even if they do not have an interview date set? MY wife's paperwork was sent to the Manila Embassy on Oct.20th but we have not recieved an update for anything as of today. We are hoping to fly her there Sunday and have her medical exam taken. Also we're wondering how long it will take them to give the exam so as to reserve the hotel and flights for her too.

Please give us your needed input into this matter.

Thank You,

Dan

Dan,

It is a good link for your questions -

The below are required in St.Luke's Medical Center.

  • Appointment letter sent by the National Visa Center or an e-mail print out of your appointment sent by the Call Center.
  • Appropriate medical examination fee.
  • Passport (valid for at least 6 months)
  • Two colored pictures (2 inches x 2 inches) with a white background

NVC will email the petitioner a PDF version of the appointment letter 2 to 3 weeks after NVC Case completion. Then only your wife can proceed for medical.

Mhay did hers without an appointment letter as many others have on this forum...

Just make sure you have something from the NVC with the MNL case number (we used the IV bill e-mail) on it and your NOA2 among the other things listed above. Just tell the guard you are doing an advanced medical.

I had my medical without an appointment letter/embassy interview schedule. I just brought one of my NVC papers (can't remember which one) that shows my case number. Your wife will also need her passport, passport photos and the fee in pesos.

The exam takes two consecutive days. Immunization shots and results are given on the second day. Make sure that your wife doesn't go there when she's on her mentruation period because they will not give her a physical exam until she's spot-free.
