We were asked how we met and how long we've been together, questions to my husband about his job, questions about where we intend to live, some questions about our info on our forms (like why does my husband's father live in South Africa) and then it was over. All in all the question portion was about 10 minutes.

Good luck

I wonder what the strangest question someone was asked? that could be interesting....

haga who had his interview the same day as mine was asked what his wifes room looked like? He told me this after his interview while I was waiting for my interview. I think thats a tad of an odd question, I mean one could say anything and they wouldnt know whether it was truth or not.

I had my interview yesterday and was asked similar questions as all of the other posters. I wasn't asked to swear an oath. There was one question that kind of weirded me out though. I had mentioned that I was pushing for us to relocate to upstate New York or Vermont after my fiancee graduates. The woman laughed and said close to Canada. Several minutes later after asking other questions, she said "How do I know you are serious about moving to the United States. I mean I hear you talking about upstate New York and Vermont...", or something to that effect.

I can't even remember what I said, but I thought of a million good answers after the fact. In general, the woman was very pleasant, thorough, and doing her job. It's really nothing to worry about, but check the list of example questions, read through your forms and documentation, and relax and be honest.

My answer to that question would have been because I am jumping through all the hoops, A sane person who is Not serious about moving to the states would never embark on this journey. Or atleast I wouldnt.
