Hey guys my I130 application was approved on october 13th and received my NOA2 a few days later. I was wondering now how will I know when the NVC will generate my case number. Will they generate it and contact me or should I call them to find out if it has been generated. Because isnt it right the next step can only be done after the case number has been generated.

Is it the same with K1 ??

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. That's only for IR1/CR1 and the beneficiary is the spouse. Also, it is very high level summary. Research yourself for the details and any other documents needed such as deportation docs, prison/court records etc., please.
