Our CR-1 case was completed at the NVC on September 16 and we were really expecting to see our case set for interview in November. Found out today that was not the case. Any ideas on how long the process takes from NVC completion to interview date for Bogota? Any information is helpful because my wife (and me to an extent) is really depressed and is wondering when the wait will be over. Thanks and good luck to all.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

could take 45 or 60 days, maybe you will get the appointment for early December. Do you know if the NVC already sent your case to Bogota?

I do not know that (would like to and wife is sending an email this morning to embassy asking if they have the file.) I contacted a tier 1 lady last week at NVC and all she would say is the case was completed and would be scheduled for an interview as early as possible. I called the automated line last night and it says the same standard message "Case was completed on September 16, 2010. Please wait 8 weeks for further instructions." Thanks for your help.

Just received an email from my attorney that the case left NVC on 9/29/10. I was a bit pissed that he did not inform me earlier...can't get anymore upset at the government since I have come to expect such from them.

i Wayne and Claudia, like you're in wait for the programming of our appointment, our case was closed on August 31, we have seen pass appointments now September and August, with the same response from the nvc, "his case was not selected for interview, call in the second week of next month."

It's really cruel that this waiting, for us this is the week number 7, since our case was closed, never had a RFE or request additional information, my husband made sure to send even more of the required information. We have no choice but to wait for our interview is for the month of December.

I hope the good news to arrive in the coming weeks and we are posting the dates of our interviews.

Greetings from Cali-Colombia

Angelica Mcclure

My wife made an inquiry to Embassy in Bogota today and already received a response. It reads:

We do not yet have this case. What type of case is it? It may be that the NVC will schedule your appointment before they send us the case.

Regards,

Does NVC schedule interviews? If so, is it possible that they can schedule it even though our case left there on 9/29/10?

NVC actually schedules the interview based on the Consulate interview slot. Your best bet now is in touch with NVC.

NVC informed me that the file had been sent to the embassy. I really feel like the file has been mistaken for a soccer ball and is just being kicked around. The embassy is pointing at NVC and NVC is pointing at the embassy. It truly must be a political year. :help: The embassy informed my wife today that they do not schedule CR-1 visas, NVC does but usually the interview date is set before the file is sent.
