delay in posting payment of AOS & IV FEE

My husband paid my Immigrant visa fee and the AOS fee via money order. There is undue delay as no record of payment is reflected up to this date. Payment was mailed Sept 15. How long does the payment get reflected as PAID in the NVC for money orders? I know on line payments get reflected in a matter of days. Please help....this has dragged longer than expected.

Might take a while if done by mail but don't worry as it will get done. My Choice of agent is taking forever to get processed and they are saying 8 - 10 weeks for that I almost blew a gasket and about destroyed that CSR. Why all of a sudden paperwork is taking so long to be done and stuff procesed especially money payments on your part is a mystery to me.

It usually took the NVC about 2 weeks to post a mailed payment but that has been changing since they're no longer processing K3 visas. They're not processing all of them as either CR1 or IR1 visas, which means they're started to get a huge backlog.

Do you know if the money order has been cashed? That's one of the reasons most people either pay online or mail a personal check, because they're easier to track.
