hello everyone,

I am Moroccan and I have an interview for a fiance visa the 13/october/2010 at the U.S. Embassy in Casablanca, at 08:00 am, I wanted to know if there s someone who has already spend maintenance in the embassy at Casablanca for a fiance visa how it goes? and what kind of issue as proof I should take with me, I would say that my fiancee did come to meet me three times in Morocco but we have just the last plane ticket that she bought (that is normal to lose the first proof of purchase plane tickets cuz we did never think that we will apply for a fiance visa one day to save them she bought those tickets to come to see me not to make a proof)

thanks for ya answers all in advance

what's matters to you? what are you doing or what people think about what are you doing?

Hello, my fiance just had his interview Tuesday, Oct 5th. Here is what they asked for:

I-864 form filled out by petitioner in the States.

2009 Taxes, I had 2008 and 2007 but they did not want to see them at all only 2009.

Your police records, etc. that you had translated.

Payment of Visa which on Tuesday was 3185 Dirhams, I have no idea if the currency has changed. I sent $375.00 and that was not enough so my fiance had brought extra money just in case, so be prepared to bring extra cash.

Once these papers are looked over, they will ask you to have a seat and wait to be interviewed.

Be prepared for all and any questions regarding your fiance, her siblings, dates of birthdays, mother, father, her college, her high school, dates of graduation, something tragic in her life, what her job is, what she dislikes about you, proof of visits (like passport stamps), VERY IMPORTANT to have those, scan them if necessary you still have time for her to do that and send via email and you print off. They looked at all my cards I sent to him, they looked at pictures, they scanned over all my yahoo chats, telephone calls, magic jack calls, Skype cam sessions, I had it all and was very prepared. KEEP GOOD EYE CONTACT WITH INTERVIEWER.

I was contacted by the person interviewing my fiance and honestly, I wish each person going thru this process could have had or have the same experience. It gives the interviewer a better picture of the couple and just how much they know about one another. The CO was so nice to me and listened very carefully to what I had to say. I give him 5 (stars) for being so polite to me. He asked me to start from the beginning when we met and where our relationship is today.

We are in Administrative Review, they are going over my forms, etc. but we both were told he was approved but we may need a co-sponsor. They kept his passport, but honestly, anything can happen at this point and I will just stay patient and hope for the best.

I don't know how long AP is, but I wish, I had some idea. They told him we will contact you in a few days, but nothing yet. Honestly, makes me a little nervous because I know how others went thru this same AP and were denied later.

Hope this gives you some information that you can use for your interview.

Good Luck and Stay Strong & Focused at your interview.

also look at the "hoping not to get denied" topic here on MENA...there r lots that have been through recently & tons of info out there. You should have copies of passport showing entrance & exit for each trip, so that should cover not having the plane tickets. Also looking at the Morocco consulate reviews could be helpful...most ppl that review list the main questions & issues that come up during their interviews. The biggest pointer I can give you is to stay calm & speak from the heart. From the sounds of it, the more you know about your fiance the better, so in other words the more you talk about what you know the better. This was a mistake we made...my fiance didn't expand enough, so they believed he knew nothing about me. But it is a fine line....you also don't want to give too much information either that could bring up issues they weren't originally concerned about (another of our mistakes...lol..we provided too much evidence). Also, be sure to know the information sent in the original application by your fiance...this is all of the info they have about your relationship, so they know everything from it & it is what they base their first impressions & questions on.

Hope this helps...I'm sure there is more i could expand on, but that's all that is coming to me at the moment...feel free to ask if u have any questions & best of luck!!

Monica :)

Haven't we all :) And many of us felt the same way you r about there being no way they will deny us...and we were wrong, so that is why we are telling you all of this. You may not be worried or nervous now....neither was my fiance...until you step in front of the person who is in control of your life...then things change. So best of luck & we all can't wait to hear (hopefully) some good news.

Hello everyone, my husband had his interview this past week and the co was very mean to him and my husband said they focused on why i have three ex husbands and why i dont have a job and get ssi.

They took our wedding photo and asked another co if it looked fake. Then they said sorry we cant give you any visa and we are sending your case back to the US and they took my husbands passport and stamped cancelled on his ten year visitor visa, this hurt my husband so bad. I tried to call two times they said we have no info that they co still has the case and to email us and we will answer you next week when there is an update. I emailed them begging them to let us give them more proof, and that we have wedding videos and we can get letters from everyone. I told them the reasons why i have three ex husbands, good ones of course and that this doesnt mean i cant meet my husband and fall in love and marry him, you cant stop love. And i told them i lived in Morocco a year with my husband and that im getting ready to return to live with him again, not visit live, that we cant be seperated. And i told them they are welcome to our house for dinner in to visit with us and see how much we love each other. So what you all think? Is there anyway we can keep this case in the embassy? What should i do? Maybe they made my husband think he is denied and they cancelled his visa cause they are going to give him the real spousal on? Im just dreaming maybe. Our visa is th CR1.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks and Salam, sweetcitywife

We are trying for a spousal visa to the US, not Morocco. They did not keep his passport, they just cancelled his visitor visa. You cant use a visitor visa to live permanently in the US. We are trying for a permanent resident visa for my husband, a CR1. I hope this clarifies your question.

Thanks sweetcitywife
