i'm here again with some questions..

i met my fiance thru filipinaheart, i wonder if its considered as marriage broker? cos our lawyer put YES and include the details of the website. so if the consulate ask me if we used marriage broker, what would i say? i don't really consider it as a marriage broker.

and by the way, we always talk thru yahoo video call so we don't have phone records. i have call history and i was able to print them. do u think its safe to bring them along with the other evidence we have? we don't have much emails, i just printed around 6 emails, and just 3-4 cards, few pictures together. i'm worried that maybe they are not enough evidence :( we have lots of "im conversations" but they seem so long, do u think the consulate would bother to read them? do i have to print them too?

could anyone give me some advice? my interview is 2weeks from now.

The proof that you have mentioned are proof of continuous relationship. Yes print a snapshot of your phone logs and snap shots of your IM's since they show dates and time as well, print old ones and pick something in the middle and latest IM's that would somehow show you are using IM as a means of communication. When we did our interview we printer 6 months of skype records, I know its a lot but its always better to have more than less right?

Plus, bring copies and originals of your hotel receipts, flight tickets, boarding pass, your passport stamp and other proof that you too had spend time together aside from the pictures ofcourse.

Filipina heart is not a marriage broker it is a dating website. You should not lie and always tell the truth during interview.

Goodluck!

My guess is you used a lawyer that wasn't fully experienced in Immigration. I hope his mistake doesn't cuase you trouble. As I take it, a marriage broker is someone who sells people for marriage. That is not what FilipinaHeart is practicing. Always tell the truth.

It's really not practical to print out all of your IM conversations. Personally, I am taking 2 or 3 days out of each month, plus the Call History. That alone is going to be a thick stack of paper...

I don't think Filipina Heart is considered a marriage broker

There are a "select" few internet web sites that fit that description.

Many people of on this board has meet thier partner thru Filipina Heart, Cherry Blossom, Craigslist.

Don't send you paperwork in with it marked as Marriage Broker. Do some more research before the paperwork is sent. You may want to do the paperwork yourself.

Sounds like your lawyer might be lost on this topic

thanks for all the replies, i'm gonna gather more evidence and print the IM's just to be safe..

now i'm kinda worried about the "marriage broker" issue :( could i just tell the consulate that the lawyer had little mistake and considered it a marriage broker? i guess some consulate know about FilipinaHeart and they knew its not really a marriage broker?

@tallcoolone - there's no way for me not to send the paperwork saying "marriage broker" cos it was sent already before when we filed I-129F. i just wonder for sure they have that copy on the embassy now for my interview?

my fiance just visit me once OCT 2009, for only 7days and he proposed to me on the 5th day.. do u think it was too fast? he can't visit me until December this year cos of his job :( i guess i can't make it...

Filipina Heart is not a marriage broker. I'm sure the consul officer will know that your attorney made a mistake because they interview people every day who met their sweetheart on Filipina Heart. So, I would not worry about the fact that your attorney called it a marriage broker. The consul officer will know that it is not a marriage broker.

As for chats, we submitted the first page of several chats. We also submitted a printout of our chat history. I'm not sure the consul officer looked at any of it.

Also, don't worry about the seven-day visit. It fulfills the requirement that you have met face-to-face within the past two years. It is more important to show an ongoing relationship with your sweetheart. The consul officers seem to enjoy looking at photos. Maybe you could bring a few more photos to your interview.

Good luck with your interview and a speedy visa! :star:

yeah, thats what i thought also.. i hope they would understand that mistake.

about the chat conversation, it will take more than 5pages just for 1day conversation so maybe i'll just take snapshots of some parts of it?

is it ok to include some pictures of him with my family?

btw, i plan to have my medical checkup on OCT 11 and my interview is on OCT 22, do they require to have medical checkup and interview same week??

sorry to have so much questions ^^

thank u soooo much Tahoma & Chinook!!

The consul officer will understand the attorney's mistake. After all, it's an attorney!:P

There is no need to include hundreds of pages of chat. Just submit example pages.

is it ok to include some pictures of him with my family?

Yes, pictures are good! The consul officers like pictures...especially those that show him with your family!

Cutebunny.....Tahomas remarks are right on the money!!!

Just a bit more clarification on the comment:

is it ok to include some pictures of him with my family?

Yes, pictures are good! The consul officers like pictures...especially those that show him with your family AND YOU!

USEM will see all of you together and reason they are your family.

Pics at different times and places will better indicate an ongoing relationship.

God bless...we're praying all goes smoothly!

IF your interview is in 2 weeks (i didn't read your post complete) I think you should be in good shape.

If it were me, I would have my fiance fill out another application and indicate that ya'll didn't use a Marriage Broker, and have your fiance sign it.

Or have him sign a piece of paper and get it notarized in the USA stating ya'll didn't use a Marriage Broker, and that question on the form was filled out incorrectly.

Have him fax that paperwork to you, just in case the CO gets hung up on Marriage Broker deal.

It's always better to be prepared
