Hi VJ Friends!

Me and my Filipina fiancee will be having a wedding in PH in mid-January 2011. I would like to plan a nice Honeymoon for us, but I know she is tired of always going to hot and sunny sandy beaches. I'm curious if anyone has some suggestions for a nice resort or hotel - where we can have many activites, but not all beaches and swimming. Of course, I suggested Baguio - but she's already been there several times, and I'd kinda like to take her somewhere she's never been.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!

Thanks.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Good luck if you think she will have her interview, medical, visa, arrive in the US, get married in the US, apply for AOS and advance parole, biometrics, any immuzations you missed and receive advance parole before January. If you get married in Philippines then you are not eligble for a fiance visa and must reapply for a CR1, money wasted on the K1.

No, actually, we won't be having a legal wedding, only a ceremony in PH. We will have the legal wedding in US after obtaining her visa.

We are planning the same thing....I just booked my flight for late November...I've stressed several times that this cannot be a legal wedding, just a ceremony....she is from Davao so we are still trying to decide where to go to, the cost of the wedding and another trip over there, plus visa costs are starting to add up...we may just go camp in the beach somewhere....

Take you Fiance and just travel the country. I usuall start out in Davao and will look at a place far on the map like CDO and just hop a bus and start heading that way. I will make stops at places that look cool or interseting and spend the night or a few days there.

I make each trip to PI an adventure.

Yes, it took awhile for us to work out the details of a "ceremony only" wedding - but I think it's going to be fine now that everything is settled. Just have to be careful not to sign or do anything legal. We'll do the legal part in US.

I agree - all the travel and visa expenses get pretty tough to manage! I just know it'll all be worth it when everything's done. :)
