Hi,

Hubby and I are sending off AOS package and we've followed the step by step guidelines completely (K3) but now I'm wondering about all the other stuff that isn't on the list...

evidence of ongoing relationship?

joint accounts/utilities/assets/lease?

Does this all go in the package being mailed or do we wait for interview for that stuff?

The only thing we have joint currently due to no SSN is our apartment lease. We did apply for the EAD ahead of time but that hasn't come through as of yet. We would wait but my year is up on my medical as of Oct. 13, 2010 and I don't want to have to do it again. (too much money lol)

2011-03-22(Day 164): Another text for card production! Start printing GC?

2011-03-23(Day 165): Text/email moving into post decision activity! Mail GC?

2011-03-26(Day 168): GC in hand and done for 3-10 years depending on the citizenship decision...Still unsure!

N400 - Dallas Lock box

2017-02-13(Day 1): Finally made the decision to apply for citizenship. Package went in mail

2017-02-16(Day 4): 1st NOA "went background checks are complete interview will be scheduled" no mention of Biometrics

2017-03-03(Day 15) Biometrics letter arrives scheduled for 2017-03-13 Might try a walk in earlier

IF you are called for interview, then USCIS may or may not ask you to prepare any evidence of a bonafide marriage. You may just go through the entire process without an interview (some members have experienced that). So I wouldn't worry about providing the evidence until it's asked of you. :) It certainly isn't required in the AOS process.

I couldn't have my name on my husband's bank account or on our lease for a few months. I applied for my EAD ahead of time also. Got my name on the bank account now, but not on the lease...will probably have to wait for my green card to be approved before that happens.

02-23-2018: Sent N-400 Application online

02-23-2018: Date on NOA, retrieved from online account

02-23-2018: Date on Biometrics Appointment Letter (Biometrics Appointment at Jacksonville ASC on March 13, 10:00 a.m.)

03-08-2018: Biometrics complete

04-05-2018: Case status updated - Interview Scheduled on May 10, 2018, 10:15 a.m. :D

05-10-2018: Citizenship Interview - Passed English and Civics Tests, Recommended for Approval! :D 

06-19-2018: Received email and text notification: Naturalization Ceremony Scheduled; waited for letter to be uploaded on online account - it has been set on Wednesday, July 25, 3:00 p.m.

07-25-2018: I am now a U.S. Citizen!

Awesome :) We met in eHarmony on May 2008, met in person on Aug 2008 (got engaged that week lol), then got married in Jan 2009. We have a baby on the way now :D 5 more weeks to go!

We matched Oct 08 - met in Dec 08, proposed Jan 09 and married Feb 09 :)then I travelled back and forth between Denver and Winnipeg as I was just finishing my masters degree...I've lived here full time since Oct 10 :):)
