There is a restaurant there that serves a Filipino buffet every Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. :) It's called the Streetcar Bistro on Baronne. I hear it's like $9.95 per person.

We're not from Louisiana, but my husband's parents and sister are...they live in Independence, near Hammond.

Last Christmas I cooked them their first Filipino meal. There is a Filipino store you should check out called Pinay Gigi's, it's in Baton Rouge: 10432 South Choctaw. Phone numbers are: (225) 272-1445 and (504) 931-0103. Bought my supplies there. :)

Other members based in Louisiana that I remember are AbbynSheryl and luvtechwifey.

Hi all... we just moved here for my work a month ago and were wondering if there are any VJ folks in the Big Easy?? Lot's nice places to eat and drink here but NOT much Filipino stuff.

New Orleans is 3 hrs away from us but my husband and I goes there occasionally. Specially the Mardi Gras is just around the corner.

AbbynSheryl is not actually from N.O but they live 30 minutes away. They live in Kinder.

This was the picture the last time we see each other last June at their Tattoo shop where I got my tattoo retouched.

Hi Kaye,

I bet you are so excited to meet that little precious one.

Independence is like 2 hrs away from us. I wish we could tag along if its just near.

I'm fine. I'm back to school and will be finished next spring. I took Nursing. :)

Fantastic! Sige, hopefully this proposition would be realized.

I would love to meet your family. Let me know when y'all coming over in LA so I'd know what will be the coolest things to do that time. :)
