Thank you everyone for your opinions and suggestions! They are very helpful to us and we will be sure to make some sort of complaint so hopefully others won't have to deal with the same type of treatment from this individual.

Sorry for the rough treatment! I just wanted to say that my (now) husband also has "Admitted solely to marry (my name)" written on the back of the I-94 - he also entered through O'Hare but was not harassed in any way, the CBP was very friendly. You shouldn't have any problems with what is written on the I-94. Maybe the writing is just standard for K1's going through ORD? Not sure.
