Disability of Immigrant Fiance

My Canadian fiance and I are about to begin the application process. At his last job he was injured at work and we are very concerned that this will have an adverse effect on his being able to come to the U.S. and for us to marry. The condition is not progressive and will not require any special medical attention. He will be receiving benefits from Canada from now on so there will be no need for him to find employment here. Does anyone know how this may effect our petition? We are extremely concerned about this being the reasno for his not being approved. Thank you, K

I agree with the others, his disability should not influence or determine the petitions's outcome. Even though he will still receive benefits from Canada, you would still need to provide an affidavit of support at the consulate stage to prove that you are above the poverty guideline for your household size.
