California DMV Refuses to issue State ID card

Timeline

This is coming from a person who has been out of status since 2000. For almost 4 years I couldn't get a state ID and last year a few months before marrying my USC husband, we flew domestically. All I used was my new passport which didn't even have a US visa. My old passport expired in '99 and the US tourist visa in 2004 and my I-94 well that expired 6 months after I entered had expired in jan 1994. All TSA looked at was the identity page and that's it. You should bring your AOS receipts just in case though
