Hi All,

I don't know if anyone can help me out, but my fiance and I are filing the K-1 and had two questions concerning addresses:

1) Where do we address our I-129F petition packet to? I have seen the address: USCIS P.O. Box 660151 Dallas Texas 75266., and is there anything is this the right address to file it to and is there anything else to include in the address to make sure it gets there? I live in Maryland and my fiance is from Zambia.

2) When my fiance writes his letter of intent, I know he writes his name and address at the top of the letter. Underneath it, does he address the letter to the same USCIS address I am mailing my petition package to, or does he use a different address?

If anyone knows the answers to these questions and could get back to me, I would so appreciate it. Thanks so much!

Here you go:

Beginning Aug. 3, 2010 all Form I-129F petitions being filed by a U.S. citizen on behalf of a fiancé(e) or spouse must be submitted to the USCIS Dallas Lockbox facility.

For U.S. Postal Service:

USCIS

PO Box 660151

Dallas, TX 75266

For Express mail and courier deliveries:

USCIS

Attn: I-129F

2501 South State Highway 121 Business

Suite 400

Lewisville, TX 75067

As far as the letters of intent go, you should put the address of the service center (Vermont) that will be handling your case instead of the lockbox, which is just a sort of clearing house, but it's not a dealbreaker if you put Dallas.

thanks so much! I also found this address in Texas. Just wondering, do most people just do the regular postal address and not do express/courier mail? Just wondering if there are any benefits either way.

You mentioned the address in VT, where can I get this information from..?

Thanks, you have been such a help!

We recommend return receipt USPS usually. I may have done mine certified, can't recall--ten dollars or so, all told. No need for FedEx or other. You're going to want confirmation but basic USPS with some sort of "yes, we got it" reassurance is the way forward. Have fun...it will all be over soon. Ish.

Looks like it. I really don't know if this will prolong the process as it's just a recent change, but I would assume it's a change engineered to make things run more smoothly, so I wouldn't get nervous. It may end up making the thing be more efficient and take less time. But it looks like you don't really have a choice, so.
