What do I send with my DS-156K

I have heard I just need to send the forms in for packet 3, and no supporting evidence, until the interview.

However, i need to send in the DS-156K. This asks for "documents to be attached in order to apply for a fiance non immigrant visa".

This sounds like a really dumb question; Do i attached the supporting evidence with theis form or not?!

Help

Thanks

If in the Embassy/Consulate's Packet 3 instructions states to send in copies of the documents, you should do so. Do not send originals of the documents required to be shown for a DS-156K as they can be lost in the mail or Embassy mailroom. Carry them in by hand at the time of the interview.

If you have read the letter accompanying your Consulate's Packet 3 or onl;ine instructions for Packet 3, and you are certain you are being given no instructions, then you do not need to send in any of the accompanying documents at this time, prepare to hand in copies of all required documents and be prepared to hand in originals of some documents like the police certificate. Be prepared to show originals of other important documents such as a divorce decree or birth certificate.

Good luck.

I sent only the forms and brought everything else with me at the interview. The DS 156K is the form stating that you will marry the finace(e) that you name there...so the only "supporting evidence" for it should probably be a new letter of intent. I guess it won't hurt if you send copies of whatever supporting evidence you can think of, but even if you do...make sure you have everything with you when you have the interview. Good luck!

...and please do fill in your timeline... :time:
