How does London prefer the co-sponsor answer #10 & #11 on I-134?

Hi all,

My father is co-sponsoring us. On the I-134 my father fills out, how should he answer question 10, "I have submitted a visa petition to USCIS on behalf of the following person(s). If none, state "None."? Since I was the petitioner, does he put "None," or does he put my fiance's name and under relationship say "fiance of daughter"?

And for question 11, I'm getting lots of conflicting answers from the forums and guides. Should he check "I intend," or say "N/A, K1 visa process for permanent residence"? I've read on the forums that if he does check "I intend," he should write underneath either "I INTEND TO SUPPLEMENT FOOD, HOUSING, ETC. AS OR WHEN NEEDED," or "I intend to provide whatever sums necessary to ensure the beneficiary does not become a public burden" (per the London wiki). I've also read that my answer to #11 and his need to be the same, that's important at the London embassy. Feeling a bit confused and overwhelmed! Can anyone give me any advice on what worked for them?

Thanks so much!

It's speculation what London "prefers" based one interview that I remember in 2008 . A regular on VJ had a problem with one of the officers. No clue why. Was he new? Don't know. Since then it has been passed down in London lore that you must tick "I intend."

I can tell you what I put. Nothing ticked. N/A ( K1 visa process for permanent residence ) There were no problems. Other people before and after Graham had no problems with the same thing. So London doesn't have a "preferred" answer that they as an embassy have made widely known. Nor have they rejected dozens and dozens of people for following the VJ example. Put what you like. It wouldn't hurt anything to put "I intend" and I doubt if it would hurt anything to put N/A ( K1 visa process for permanent residence ).

Here's Graham's story. http://www.visajourn...62#entry2185462

And here's his timeline with a review of the interview and another version of the story. http://www.visajourn...le.php?id=47025

For #10, your father has not submitted a petition to USCIS, as in I-129F for a fiance. He is submitting an Affidavit of Support to the Dept of State (Embassy).

KittyLondon is dealing with this but is asking in an 18 month old thread. I don't think ECWilloughby is going to answer because he/she is long gone from embassy things and has a greencard. If Kitty wants an answer from EC, a PM might work.

i did know it was an old thread... i like to recycle ;)

(i also checked to see if ecwilloughby was still active, and at the time it said the last thread he/she looked at was in the uk forum, so it didn't seem that unlikely they'd see it. but its okay, someone else provided the answer!).
