Hello everyone,

I just wanted some input and opinions....we received an RFE for my husband's birth certificate on 8/11/10. Finally sent the docs on and received @ NVC on 8/26/10. If there is anyone out there that experienced the same or can tell me appx. how long from now? I am aware things slowed down at the NVC, but me and my husband are still praying for an interview preferrably in September(for my birthday), but no later than October. So tell me what you think? and thank you in advance!

To clarify: it was a Checklist Cover Letter for my husband's CR1 Visa not an RFE.

Not to get your hopes down, but we got the same checklist...NVC received our new birthcert. on the 28th of june and it took them 6 weeks and 2 days to complete our case. We now have an interview date for september 7th.

I hope for you now that the summer vacation is nearly over things are speeding up again at the NVC...but i think it's gonna be an October interview :( .

What do you mean it was a Checklist Cover Letter and not an RFE ?

What was the reason why the NVC sent you an RFE/Checklist Cover Letter for the birth certificate ?
