Documents Preparation for K1 Visa Interview

Hello Everyone! My interview is set on the 2th Aug, Tuesday. I am now getting all the documents ready...please help me check if there are still missing so i still have time to do it before the DAY comes.

This is what's inside of my envelope:

-Appointment Confirmation

-2 sets of DS 156, 156k and 157 forms

-blue copy of visa payment (BDO)

-form 1-134 (original signature)

-Employment Letter (with signature of HR but scanned copy- My fiancé missed to include this in the package he sent me so just scan it and email to me)

-Personal Compensation Statement from the Company (this states his position, salary, performance rating)

-1040's and w-2's for 2007, 2008,2009

-6 recent paystubs

-Savings and Retirement Account

-Bank Statement of Accounts

NSO Birth Certificate

NSO Cenomar (date March 22, 2010)

NBI Clearance (For Travel USA)

My Fiancé's Divorce Decree

-Updated Letter of Intent

-copies of e-mails

-chat and video call logs (ym and skype)

-20 pcs. pictures

-receipts (hotel, ferry,lbc,moneygram)

-cards (birthday and christmas)

-USPS receipt for the christmas gift he sent me (with description of content)

I am excited, nervous, ready but thinking if i really am ....waaaaaa...this is really something like a sweet torture LOL...please help me check my list.

Just want to wish you good luck. You are one step ahead of me so I can't be too much help. I have just recently received NOA2 and just trying to make things go as quickly as possible, hoping I am doing everything right!

BTW how did you print out your skype records?

thanks rae for the well wishes..as for the skype records. go to history and then press alt + print screen and copy paste to notepad or word document. Good luck to you and God bless!

Off topic- but if you go into your account history (on the net) on Skpye.com you can print as well. I would not copy into wordpad or word because you could edit it in the eyes of the embassy. Better print from the website to be on the safe side. IMHO.

You got to provide all this paperwork, Get a 2 day medical, Petitioner has to shell out a tons of money, Fill out a book of paperwork, Petitioner has to sponsor the wife/Fiance, etc.

And then the Federal Government in the USA welcome in 20 millions Illegal aliens and thousand more coming into the USA Illegally every day with open arms from the USA.

Crazy System we live in

just do print screen and go to paint then paste it there..

Well, technically you can edit a print screen in paint too, so I don't think it really matters if you use Wordpad. Chat logs are secondary evidence anyway...

Take baptismal certificate. Hopefully your BC isn't late registered.If so you have to take a LOT more evidence proving who you are.

Looks good! However I think you will need a few passport (2x2 inch) US type pictures of yourself. I believe for the visa and 1 of the forms. Maybe get 3 or 4 to be sure. Inexpensive and easy to get at shops around the embassy area. My wife thinks she needed 2 last year when she had her interview. She was so nervous she does not remember what the pics were for!

Your above package looks very good, very similar to ours.

Glenny, affix the photos on the DS 156 forms beforehand to save you the hassle during the interview day. Good luck, my friend!
