Hi everyone...So our I-129F app got returned to my fiance because he sent a personal cheque with his old address that obviously didn't correspond with the address he put on the I-129f form...doh...

So what to do? It'll take the bank at least a week to issue him with new cheques. Can he just go to the bank tomorrow, get a money order and send the whole packet back as it was originally?

Really hoping this isn't gonna be too much of an issue, this process is stressful enough as it is!

Thanks :-)

You should be able to re-send the packet with a Money Order. I don't see anything to worry about.

Only thing with Money Orders is, you cannot track them, as with a personal check. So you'd never know when it is cashed, until you get your NOA1 receipt in the mail. If that is a problem, just wait a week or so for the new checks. Or else, just send the money order.

Good luck!

That's odd about the address on the check. Doesn't seem that it would matter at all.

A money order or bank check would work just as well.

That's the only thing I can think of. The notice of action stated that "the following information is missing or incorrect Part B : Address" or words to that effect

Both our addresses were entered correctly, so the only thing I can think of is the discrepancy between his address and the one on the cheque... :-(

No way..! Our apps arrived on the same day, yours was cashed and ours wasn't?!! Maybe it just depends on who you get :-(
