I live 40 miles from Manhattan and it drives me nuts too. I like the burbs. The country is pretty but I can't handle living somewhere I can't get Chinese delivery or have to drive more than 10 minutes to get to a grocery store.

Speaking of Chinese food - we keep trying the local places here in hopes of finding something as good as in California.

You're in Arizona. Develop a taste for Mexi.

say bye bye to the ro mein and pok fly lice!

I grew up on Mexican food and good eat everyday without getting tired of it. There's some Thai places around here I'd like to try. It's funny reading the reviews online where people from the Midwest on vacation have eaten at some of the Chinese restaurants here and thought the food was great.

We have a great little Thai place just around the corner from the office - they do a mean lunch menu for less than $6.00! It's pretty awesome but too much food for me tbh.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Sites like Yelp should have algorithms built in that enforce taste rules. For example, if a profile rates Domino's or Pizza Hut highly, then any subsequent scores/reviews it submits for any kind of restaurant is deleted.

Very true.

Yeah, you kinda have to read some of their other reviews to see where they're coming from. For some of them, the only pizza joints nearby are Domino's and Pizza Hut. It's hard to be a connoisseur of good food when you live in an isolated town of less than 3,000.

I understand and sympathize with their disability. I just wish they recognized it for what it was - a disability that disqualifies them from actually expressing their opinions around people who aren't bumpkins like them.

Yea, that's another problem with living in the country. Pizza is not the greatest unless you drive into town.

Their pizza just p!sses me off. Luckily we have several kick a$$ pizza joints. They do more business than chains.
