Hi everyone,

Paul and tamzo, a big CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! I think you had a few in here wondering what had happened to you guys!!!

Seren, I am also going to Dr Popen i cant spell his name... haha. The office is on bourke street which turns out to be very convenient for me as its just across the road from my office!! :) Your fiance should have gotten a letter from the secretary?? She gave me a letter when i went in to book an appoinment which had what i needed to bring with me and how much for everything. What Kath has said is spot on but if you want me to quote the letter i'll be more than happy to. Just let me know. One thing is that i asked whether i can get my blood tests somewhere else but she said that it will be too confusing and that i should just do it with them AFTER my appointment just to be on the safe side with paperwork. What is your fiance doing about that? Kath, do you agree?

hi ya itan

well i had my blood test before my medical...i kept every receipt that the pathologist gave me..my medicare receipt and then when the test results came back i got my doctor to print out the results for me...i had no problems what so ever with the doctor in me doing this way...he is such a nice fella and was impressed that i had thought of doing the above because they need to enter the details where the test were done on the vaccination sheet...and get the pathologist who took ya blood to sign and sight your passport...

have you heard anymore on your application leaving the states yet...cos i know when i looked at DHL the other day there were a few in april arriving in sydney..so have you heard anything yet huh huh huh lol

so its moonie rings and itan100 waiting for interviews now huh...is it a J or an I for your first letter of your nick mate..

take care kath

Hi Kath,

Safe travels Lyndel! The rain was terrible but the airport delays weren't as bad as if it were snow from the reports. My local roads were flooded so bad that there was a delay getting out of my development!

Hi All,

Thank you so much for your all kind thoughts, your support for my chocolate habit (some more than others :P ) oh and the visa journey  , making me laugh, sharing your experiences and your lives and pitching in with useful information when you can, listening to vents  . I am so happy that I found this forum and get to hang out with such a thoughtful and sweet bunch of people. Maybe it's corny of me to say but I feel genuinely lucky to have met you guys and been able to talk and share our journeys.:blush: I wish you all happiness and speedy journeys where ever you are in the process.

As for me......Kath you are so right! Big stomping elephants in my tummy now!!! Roller coast of emotions, sadness about leaving my family and friends...excitement about being with Jake.......anticipation about my new life in the USA. Jake has been so sweet, he is nesting and has been shopping...yes shopping!! for things we need for the apartment. He talks so excitedly about what he's bought and done...makes it all worthwhile! :luv:

I fly to Sydney at lunchtime tomorrow and head off at around 4pm. I'm very tired so I am hoping to sleep most of the way. Will arrive at JFK early Thursday morning USA time and then get to Colorado about 8pm Thursday night.... I will let you know how I go getting the temp EAD. Thanks for the weather guides Paul, Kath and Vylex. Will be wearing my winter woolies although that could be a problem through Bangkok!

Guess I will talk to you all from the other side!

Hugs
