Hello vjers,

i had my interview appointment this morning. after 10 minutes interview with the consul, he told me that my visa is approved and instructed me to proceed to window Y. But the guy on Window Y told me that they still need to review my papers. he gave me air 21 form but he did not give me pink slip. i went to air 21 booth and handed them the form and they said i dont need to pay. i asked the girl when can i pay,she said it will be C.O.D. isn't weird.why would a consul told the applicant that her visa is approved but it will be under review. has anyone experienced like this before?i am worried.....

I'm guessing you got a white and blue slip. The same thing happened to me. What document do you lack? As soon as you submit it, your case will be processed by the Embassy. Call the Non-Immigrant section at least once a week at 3012000 then press 7 and dial 5184 or 5185. Depending on the evidence, the visa will be issued in 1-2 weeks. Mine was C.O.D. as well and I paid Php256.

That's odd. What does it say on the paper? That should have been specified on the form. Just call them and inquire about your case status. My case was under review as well because I lacked pay stubs so I'm not certain about the time frame of your case. There was a girl who got a blue and white form because her fiancé was around 20 years her senior. If the same goes for you then they probably just want to check if the relationship is bona fide. The best of luck to you! Just call them weekly. good.gif

What kind of visa was it? Now it begins to unfold. lol. Yes, they'll ask for your case number and once they find your name in the system, they'll ask you if you're so and so. Call them and if you hear nothing within a week, send them an email. That's what I did. You're welcome. star_smile.gif

Don't worry. It's a very good sign when they tell you that you are approved and they keep your passport. You will get your visa. The Embassy simply wants to make you sweat for a couple of weeks or so because of your previous visa. But, in the end, they will send your visa to you COD (cash on delivery).

I agree with Toni...call the Embassy for updates on your case. Your fiancé should call also. It's important to send the message to the Embassy that both of you are serious about your visa journey. Good luck! :star:

When was your previous K1 approved? What was the reason why it did not push through? I remember reading another post here in VJ that had the same situation as yours.

more than two years ago. there were lots or issues. i went home before my visa expires.
