DS-260 Immigrant Visa Application Online Filing Mandatory Effective 09/03/2013


  • AILA has received a notice from the Department of State that effective 09/03/2013, consular processing immigrant applicants must file immigrant visa application online only using DS-260 online immigrant visa application form instead of paper form DS-230. The change has yet to be posted at the State Department website. Beware.

Infact it is a very good change and will reduce the waiting time between COA & DS230 and certainly help in speeding up the visa processing times..reading.gif

No DS-260 for India. Hopefully they will enable it soon for India.. PD of Sep 1 in October bulletin means only 16 weeks of files ahead of me! Now need to figure out if I am still eligible under CSPA after retrogression!

NVC Pending CasesFor those immigrant visa applicants who have a case pending with NVC already, NVC may instruct some applicants who previously submitted Form DS-230 on paper to submit Form DS-260 online

Is that right why do they want pending nvc ppls to fill that its say somecasses they will ask to fill ds 260

Jolly with due respect i dont think that october bulletin will be 1 sept 2001. I think it will be 22 aug 2001 or less because my pd is 27 aug 2001 still no sign of i/l to me and people with pd 6 and 7 and close to it are getting i/ls and its end of august now.

I have no much knowledge about this process. I completed my 21 on 25august2013 and my approval date may2010

Priority date 22dec2002

So how long I consider in cspa?

And I need to fill any type of form or letter?

Plz explain me
