Hello all my friend here. i wanted to know if i could bring a dried fish /banana catsup in USA/ i got visa and now ready to fly... looking forward if i could bring that staff. i will appreciated all ur answer thank u ..

Dried fish? Probably not. Any kind of meat and/or produce are generally confiscated.

My wife tried bring bottled ube. It was promptly confiscated at US Customs.

I'd say, not a good idea. Besides, these can be bought at any asian market here in the USA.

It will be confiscated by customs. This is to prevent any foreign insects, diseases etc. from entering. Don't fret, there are many asian and filipino stores through out the US. My wife was quite surprised at the variety of stuff from the Philippines. Even if you do not have stores close by, many stores here are online and will ship products to you.

Have a safe trip sis! As everybody says, better not to bring those to avoid hassle. U can buy those in asian store here. :thumbs:

I see that your signature say that you are looking for info on JFK. If you will be in the NYC area, there are a few Filipino supermarkets / stores in the area as well as all different Asian stores.

A few days ago I took a coworker to Jollibee for a late lunch. We then stopped by a neighborhood store & had halo-halo & a few other snacks.
