i'm really glad being here in this group me and my wife(fiancée) carrie. now i just have somthing and i need you guys to clarify me.

we have many proofs in our paperwork most are in french, like ring bill, train tickets, buses tickets, bank receipts and lately we're shopping things and furnitures for our house in the states gonna send them in a friend's container so i want to show all that for my interview as evidence as i said mostl are in french, my question is should i have them allll translated to english ????

Probably not since they have translators people can use at the interview. Id assume if they can speak French at the interviews they can also read it.

I do not know for sure, but the documentation that you will receive for your interview will say: "Anything not in English must be translated."

So, even though these are documents to prove your buying an engagement ring, furniture for your home in the US, etc. I would automatically assume that yes this would need to be translated...especially if you are going to provide these documents as part of your proof.

If it were me I would go ahead and have these things translated...make sure the translator uses the certification stating that they are able to translate into English. If it is not needed fine, but I would rather be safe than sorry by not being prepared in this respect. And we all know now that when it comes to Casa...anything goes, right ladies? It is much better to be prepared than not...just my 2 cents.

Welcome and good luck to you and your fiancee Carrie. I think Kiya has a good point. It would be awful to have all your evidence and not able to use it because it is in French. I would check into this very closely and if you can't get a definite answer anywhere, have it translated to be safe.

Check with embassy. I wouldn't think you would need to translate reciepts.
