It wasn't a challenge, it wasn't an insult, it was a statement of my opinion. I'm not going to say "I wasn't trying to insult" because I didn't, Period. I typed out a clear and concise sentence that you two misunderstood and did for probably a hundred+ posts.

Understanding some of the terminology doesn't imbue you with an understanding of the law. Just like Paul, just because you listen to Mark Levin and have read a few legal journals and Libertarian blogs doesn't qualify you as any sort of legal expert. At least no more than my speeding tickets qualify me for the Nascar circuit.

Who is Mark Levin? What are legal journals and Libertarian blogs?

What I've done is taken my two-bit knowledge of Latin, History, and English and applied it to very plainly written documents. While I realize that doesn't make me Dale Earnhardt, it at least makes me Dale Earnhardt Jr. I may not be a champion... but I can still drive.

I really don't see how Rob was being insulting. He was merely pointing out that everyone has different tastes. And the privacy issue is very understandable. Most of us have successful careers which could be jeopardized if our bosses/co-workers found our blogs or online identities. It might not be the case for you and Gary, however a lot of us are extremely cautious of showing our pictures online because we stand a lot to lose. Bragging about our spouse is not worth the risk and not to mention, it is in poor taste.

Latin is spelt the same way in American English and British English -- that's because it's Latin.

Hint: "nausea" is a 1st declension noun, not 2nd or 4th declension. Since "ad" takes the accusative, that should give you a hint.

I have no outrage for Gary although I do find it outrageous that someone would attempt to slight someone (by insulting their wife) and then fold when called out on it.

I hear you on the pictures thing that's why I never asked him to post pictures. (Although I don't understand why someone wouldn't be themselves at work or here on VJ. Then again, many of you have no problem being hypocritical here so why would work be any different?) If you'll notice, I haven't bragged either. This has never once been about who's wife is hotter... it's been about a guy saying something insulting and then instead of owning up to it, backpeddling.
