Just checked the website, and our application is under "initial review" status. Last I checked it was still in this status, but the "request for more evidence" icon was there...this time that has disappeared. Does this mean we won't get any RFE's for this stage? Also, does this mean our file was touched?

I have heard some people say that USCIS made some changes to their website, so I'm not sure if this is one of them. But you will remain in "initial review" until a decision is made or they request for more evidence. Looking at your timeline it is still early so there is still a chance you could get a RFE. Also, being in initial review does not mean it has been touched or not. Some people stay in that status until it is approved (like myself) and others notice it has been touched prior to a decision or RFE. When you log onto the website it will give a "Last update date" if this date has changed then you know you have been touched. If it doesn't change don't sweat over it, they could still be working on it. Good Luck!!

Not sure about the RFE icon, but I can tell you for sure NOT to worry about whether you get touched or not. In my case, my NOA1 was dated May 6th, 2010. My case was touched on May 7th, and then nothing at all until July 14th, when VOILA! I was approved. NOA2. So, no worries at all, ya?
