I have some questions about the naturalization process:

1)What exactly is Biometrics? How long does it take? Since I live in Alabama, where does it take place?

2)Where does the interview take place for Alabama residents?

the biometrics are the fingerprints, they will take the fingerprints of all fingers for the FBI. Depends on where you live, if there are local immigration offices and the closest to you.

the appointment letter will have the address, and it probably will be at the same place you have your biometrics.

In ny case Miami has 3 uscis offices. They sent me to the one my area belonged to. The biometrics, interview and oath ceremony tommorow are at the same buiiding.

I have actually heard that having all three in the same location is rather unusual, looks like you lucked out. I had my biometrics in a tiny biometrics only office across town, the interview at the USCIS federal building and the oath at the main theater downtown.

then it might be because they are new buildings and they concentrated everything in the same building.

the important thing is that each letter will have the address, date and time to where and when you should be there.

Hi,

Depending on where you live. If you live in Northern AL, then most probably they will send you to the Birmingham office. If you live in the southern part, then you might go to New Orleans office. They usually send you to the closest to your residence.

However, your interview for naturalization will be in a district office (for example Atlanta).
