Why do you need to make a copy of your chat?

Is it for your interview?

I don't think you need it ... when I got my interview for the visa and my interview for the AOS, we didn't show any chat log, just pictures, bank statements, cards, letters.

Chat logs fall under correspondence. Rather than taking ALL chat logs you can take a sample of those chat logs to complement the entire batch of evidence of correspondence you are compiling (letters, emails, phone records, etc)

Of course also some of it depends on your Embassy - it is possible the Philippines puts more weight and correspondence and wants to see Volumes of this type of evidence.

USEM did ask my wife for chat logs, as one of the bona fides. I took two pages from the first and last of each month over a 12 month period. You can black out any personal conversations.
