Hi guys, I'm just wondering. We are about to file the fiancee visa and I have read you need to show money remmitances / financial support as proof of on-going relationship? is it true? what if we haven't done it? I mean I also have work and we decided best that he's not going to send me money while I'm still here. can someone please enlighten me? kasi daw kailangan sa embassy interview.

Yes when he files he will need to have proof of income, taxes transcripts for the last 4 of 5 years, he can get these free from the IRS if he doesn't have them. They will want to see proof of on going relationship, if he sends moneygram or westernunion have him keep the receipts.

He will need to have logs of emails/chat/im with dates , pictures of you guys together, copies of his boarding pass and passport stamp .

Phone records if he has called/text , my wife and I just use skype/IM so we dont have that , not a problem.

They will want to see that you have kept in touch , through mailing cards, letters, email, chat, im, etc make sure to log history on the chat/im programs

he doesn't have to send you a lot, just send some , sometimes, moneygram costs $8.00 to send here and gets there quick.

No. Its not needed. My hubby (then fiance) never gave me any money to support me. I had no problem with the american CO. But i was quite irritated with the filipino initial interviewer coz she insisted that i should show her a copy of remittances from my fiance. After several NOs from me, she made a comment that most of the filipina fiancee always have copy of remittances from their american fiance.

Proof of financial support from your fiancee is not a good thing to prove the relationship.Moneygram receipts or whatever receipts proving your fiance's financial support on you is not advisable on a k1 application unless the guy sending money is already your husband.

These are not really required and it is better not to present the receipts unless it is asked. Emails, pictures, letters ,chat logs and whatever forms of communication you have is the best proof.

Money remittances are <b>not </b>required. My fiancé never sent me any money and it wasn't asked from me on the interview day. If you have some then that's fine but if not, leave it at that. Build strong proof by stacking up on chat logs, phone logs, your fiancé's cellphone logs, snail mails, emails, pictures and such. I detailed my documents in my blog. I have an entry about how to arrange papers for the interview in my blog. Click the link below my timeline if you want to see it. Remember to choose conversations that show how well you mesh because the consul will scan that. <div><br></div><div>Good luck! <img src="http://www.visajourney.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/good.gif" alt="" class="bbc_emoticon"></div><div><br></div><div>Toni</div>

mikeandrein are filing an I-129 with the USCIS to start the process for their K-1 fiancée visa. K-1ers do not submit their proof of income, tax transcripts, income tax returns, pay stubs, and employment letter to the USCIS with their I-129 application. Instead, these financial documents are submitted to the Embassy by the beneficiary at the time of the beneficiary's interview.

Also, it is unnecessary to submit four or five years of income tax returns or tax transcripts. Three years worth is more than enough. The Embassy actually places great weight on current sustained income.

Receipts of remittances are fine to include with the I-129, but not necessary to show an ongoing relationship.

for K1, it's not a requirement to show proof of remittances. i was never asked by the pre-screener nor the consul for it. I didn't have any to show anyway. so don't worry if you have none to show.
