oh, so women who are hookers are so weak they have no choice? they must submit to exploiting men?

how do you differentiate women in porn? how about the woman-owned porn production companies? how does that rest on your mind?

your opinion of men is really in the gutter, do you have any "man" friends?

This thread must set a record for the most tangential questions asked of one poster.

And you never answered my question. And so the ad hominems begin.

I'm guessing the reason I'm getting this reaction from male VJers is because more than a few of them either do or have used prostitutes. Something has to explain the anger.

It's true, there are some for as well. Do we all really want to go there? I can't see this discussion ending well if it does

It's been tried before, and you're right it didn't end well. Seems that VJers can only look at the issue in terms of someone wanting to take away their porn.

What do you think about men who pick up streetwalkers or use prostitutes from the Internet?

i think they have a lot of nerve picking up a streetwalker - i think it is dangerous. i think it is a lot safer dealing with someone on the internet, however. there are a lot of "hooker" websites where you can check out what other johns say about the posting hooker. here is one of the myredbook.com

LOL There was a proposed ban in Japan of lolita, that is basically manga child porn and people all over the internet have gone crazy over it. They're so afraid of it getting taken away from them and have some serious entitlement issues. Why this is even a question, I don't know, the concept of it is wrong, wrong, wrong and needs to be added to all child porn laws.

Sorry Slim, I'm not playing the relativastion game with you.

A serious discussion of ethical issues pertaining to porn? I think that's beyond your abilities. Nothing personal.

I can't take it personally from someone who is incapable of two-sided discussion. You go ahead and stick to your narrow-mindedness and judgemental ways. In the mean time, I'll go ahead and continue on with questions relating to morality of a legal practice.

I'm guessing the reason I'm getting this reaction from male VJers is because more than a few of them either do or have used prostitutes. Something has to explain the anger.

Either that or the way you're lopping everyone into the same boat.

Seems that VJers can only look at the issue in terms of someone wanting to take away their porn.

Or in terms of a legal activity that is frowned upon by others for no other reason than moral objections.

Good businesses are listed with the BBB. If it really was legal here (like the OP posted) I'm sure we'd start to see hookers and services on the BBB wesbite.

They're so afraid of it getting taken away from them and have some serious entitlement issues. Why this is even a question, I don't know, the concept of it is wrong, wrong, wrong and needs to be added to all child porn laws.

If it's legal right now then why are they wrong to not want it taken away?

I care about the ####### so I think sometimes when a ####### can't find a free ####### then it needs to pay for one.

Holy cow! Is that a female posting this? No way!

actually, i'm surprised women on VJ aren't more angry. you paint a weak picture of all hookers which is far from the truth.

at one time in my life, i was a frequently a john (perfer client). i admit, your friend, 10 years of it and making a life of it is pretty hardcore, but it is his choice. unless you are paying big money, hookers tend to play by a lot of rules and abiding by all the rules gets old. many hookers sell themselves cafeteria style (funny as it maybe).

to me, it is simply an industry and as long as the client isn't in a relationship, i don't think there is anything wrong with it.

again, women own their body, if they can have abortions (as horrible as that has to be) without the left and even the middle crying a river, i can't see why anyone would cry about her selling her body or parts of it cafeteria style. you could say, if only women would stop selling, clients would stop buying. i guess i'd blame women more for the industry than men since if they would stop selling it, the industry would be no more.

Slim, You can't/won't admit that a gun is a weapon or that a threat is a threat. You also love to use ridiculous analogies.

A gun is a weapon.

A threat is a threat.

You've typed that you respect johns less than you respect hookers (I guess because of some misconception that they're innocent in all this or something.) I know you said you won't answer my questions about analogies, but do you also blame drug users more than drug dealers?

2 sided discussion is one thing. Trying to have a discussion with a confused individual is pointless.

It's interesting for me to argue with folks who have convinced themselves of some alternate form of reality that they've either dreamed up in their head or been spoon-fed by their government.

By all means, keep it up!

I love how your justification for this is a matter of someone else's responsibility and not your own.

Some of them are victims, some do it willingly. My issue, as I said, is with the men who buy those services. IMO they are perverted, self-loathing or both.

How about you address that and not minutia. Next I expect you'll ask menacing dogging and swinging. Nope, not interested.

So, what is your answer to stop this outrage? Should just the customers get arrested in prostitution sweeps? Should just the prostitute be prosecuted? Or should they both be punished for engaging in this activity? I'm assuming that you believe prostitution should be illegal since you take issue with the men that buy sex.
