Don't be facaetious. A sexual partnership is about a mutally satisfactory sexual relationship. You're stating the obvious but missing the point.

If the difference is that in the case of the prostitute, the pleasure of the prostitute is irrelevant to the equation; does that attitude carry over to relationships with girlfriends or wives? Obviously if your whole attitude to sex is a selfish one, then you're not going to have very successful romantic relationships.

What happens if you're into oral, but your partner is not (or vice versa)? Is the relationship necessarily doomed?

Of course not. But this kind of thing has something to do with why men use prostitutes.

Well carry on and convince me that a man that pays for sex isn't viewing a prostitute merely as an object of gratification? Or, alternatively, explain to me how having men viewing prostitutes as objects of gratification doesn't devalue women per se? I think DeDixon did a great job of explaining exactly how dehumanized prostitutes become while plying their trade. Explain to me how that's a reasonable exchange for the money that they earn through their working lives?

I think it's highly dubious to present the issue as one of choice, with no consideration for the reasons women go into prostitution (ergo it might not be the result of choice, but the result of a lack of them); and no more consideration of the negative psychological and health consequences of being a prostitute other than "it's the consequences of their CHOICE".
