So here I am (im)patiently waiting for my EAD to go through. They have it on record they processed my documents April 21. I got my biometrics done on June 8. It is now July 19. No EAD. I called the USCIS office today and they did say I should have gotten my documents by now but my case file says it is still pending. Subsequently they file a sort of an enquiry of what is going on with my case and told me I could expect a response within 45 days. Has anyone been through this? Am I a dud? I thought everything was going swimmingly until now. They have a RFE on my AOS because they are needing my husband's 2009 Tax return but we wanted to wait till I got my SSN so we could file and get the benefits of being married. We talked to USCIS and they said that was perfectly fine. But over 3 months later and still no SSN.

What went wrong?

You normally can't get your EAD while an RFE is still pending. We wanted to do that, and they told my congressperson that we had to submit the RFE stuff first.
