Please help me double-check that I have this right:

- G-325a for the US citizen (sponsor) is not required (only for the visa holder, i.e. applicant)

- birth certificate for sponsor is not required

- copy of passport of the sponsor is not required

- passport photos of the sponsor are not required

Now, the question about whether to include sponsor's prior divorce judgment is a little confusing. This evidence was submitted already with the I-129F packet. The I-485 instructions only mention evidence of legal termination of prior marriage under page 4-5, section 14, "based on derivative status as the spouse or child of another adjustment applicant or person granted permanent residence based on issuance of an immigrant visa". Since I am a US citizen, not another adjustment applicant or immigrant, my reading is that this whole section 14 does not apply to us and we do not need to re-submit the prior divorce judgment. However, I think some people include it anyway. Suggestions?

I, the US citizen, did not send anything about me with the whole AOS/EAD/AP package but the I-864 and accompanying proofs of income. We had no RFEs and got the GC without an interview. If you should need a joint sponsor, he/she will need to prove citizenship or legal residence with something like a birth certificate, passport, or green card. The rest of the forms, photocopies, etc are all about the immigrant.
